A supplier is trusted for three things: the specification holds, the tonnes arrive, and the papers are right. This is how we make sure of each.
Our quality process
Producer audit
Every supply partner's plant, feedstock and process is audited before it supplies us.
Sampling
Lots are sampled during production and before dispatch.
Lab analysis
Samples are analysed by an accredited laboratory against the agreed grade.
Release and dispatch
Only lots within specification are released, with their report and papers.
What we test
Biochar: fixed carbon, ash, volatile matter, moisture, sulphur and phosphorus, molar H/C ratio, pH, heavy metals and PAHs, size distribution.
Torrefied biomass: gross calorific value, fixed carbon, volatile matter, ash, moisture, sulphur, chlorine, grindability, bulk density and durability.
Traceability
Every lot carries its producer, feedstock type and region, production date and lab report number, so you can trace any delivery back to where it was made.
Technology partner
Shaiva Energy's technology partner is Shaiva Green Carbons Pvt. Ltd. (Greater Noida), developer of patented continuous rotary torrefaction and pyrolysis reactors. Producers using Shaiva Green Carbons technology are part of our supply network, and the two companies work together on product specification and quality.
