Supplying India's shift from coal to renewable carbon

India's steel, power and cement plants need renewable carbon and coal-like biomass fuel at industrial scale. At the same time, millions of tonnes of crop residue and invasive biomass are burned in the open or left to rot.

Shaiva Energy turns scattered production into specified, contractable volume. We qualify producers, set grade specifications, test every lot, and deliver to buyers across India and in export markets.

Our technology partner is Shaiva Green Carbons Pvt. Ltd. (Greater Noida), developer of patented continuous rotary torrefaction and pyrolysis reactors. Producers using Shaiva Green Carbons technology are part of our supply network, and the two companies work together on product specification and quality.

How we work

We work on both sides of the market. With producers, we audit units, agree grades and buy on contract. With buyers, we match their specification, run trial lots and supply against quarterly or annual contracts.

Every lot is sampled, analysed by an accredited laboratory and released only if it meets the agreed grade. It ships with its lab report, origin record and dispatch papers.

Shaiva Energy and Shaiva Green Carbons

The two are separate companies. Shaiva Green Carbons develops and sells reactor technology. Shaiva Energy is a supply company: it buys, tests, sells and exports biochar and torrefied biomass, including material from producers using other technologies.
