Bio coal for kilns, boilers and process heat
Cement, textiles, pulp and paper, refineries and petrochemicals now have notified CCTS emission-intensity targets. Torrefied biomass, sold in India as bio coal, replaces part of your coal or pet coke without changing the boiler.
Why torrefied, not raw biomass
- Feeds and burns more like coal, with fewer feeding and fouling problems than loose biomass.
- Stores better and degrades far less than raw biomass.
- More energy per tonne transported.
What we supply

Handling and storage
Torrefied pellets and briquettes take up far less water than raw biomass and resist biological decay, so they can be stored for longer. They still need a covered store; rain-soaked fuel loses heating value. As with any fine fuel, keep dust under control in conveyors and mills.
